Fly to Vancouver and check in to your hotel for the night. We’ve only included one night in Vancouver on this itinerary but you may want to spend some more time in this great city- just let us know and we’ll change the itinerary.

Day 2
Vancouver – Okanagan (243 miles)
Leave Vancouver and head north east into the Okanagan Valley, a region known for its wineries and fruit orchards with a pleasant climate. Okanagan Lake is surrounded by pine forests and provincial parks, and is a wonderful place to relax for a couple of days.

Okanagan
A day to relax in this lovely region. Enjoy wine tasting, hike along the lakeshore, explore downtown Kelowna.

Day 4
Okanagan – Sun Peaks (137 miles)
Today you’ll be heading into the mountains and ascending into the lovely resort of Sun Peaks – a well-known ski resort in the winter, this is also a breath-taking summer destination. Adrenalin junkies can enjoy the mountain biking right from the summit. But if you’re looking for gentle walks through rolling alpine meadows or bracing hikes to panoramic summits, then the best time to visit is July and August when the wildflowers are at the height of their bloom and you can enjoy the kaleidoscope of colour and sweet aromas. Not only can you enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities, the town has become a renowned music destination, with live music events scheduled right through the summer weekends.

Day 5
Sun Peaks – Echo Valley Ranch (143 miles)
Today you will drive into the remote Cariboo Region, in the heart of British Columbia, a beautiful wilderness of grasslands, forests, lakes and rivers. Your destination is Echo Valley Ranch where you will be able to immerse yourself in a great ranch experience, with a host of outdoor adventures. We love the eastern influences of this western ranch, with a spa offering a full range of Thai treatments and Thai cuisine options. The weekly entertainment programme includes roaring camp fires, barbeque dinners, authentic Thai banquets and traditional Thai dancing.

Day 6
Today, how about embarking on a thrill seeking adventure? Book an optional tour such as an exhilerating white water rafting experience or if you prefer staying on land we recommend a 4 x 4 canyon drive along the Fraser River for spectactular views of the stunning landscape or flight-seeing (extra charge).

Day 7

With even more activities on the ranch take your pick from horse riding, hiking, biking and fly fishing. If you’d rather be pampered, then book in to the spa, housed in the beautifully crafted Thai pavilion, for a mountain-mist herbal steam bath or relaxing massage.

Day 8
Echo Valley Ranch – Williams Lake (83 miles)
Today you will take a short drive north through the Cariboo region to the town of Williams Lake. Head to the Tourism Discovery Centre where you’ll find information for this afternoon’s activities, such as hiking trails and kayak rentals.

Day 9
Williams Lake – Terra Nostra Guest Ranch (148 miles)
Head further into the wilderness of British Columbia, skirt Provincial Parks, rivers and lakes as you drive west into the unspoilt Chilcotin region. Check-in to your home for the next three nights – the Terra Nostra Guest Ranch. This 200 acre historic horse ranch is situated on the shores of Clearwater Lake with a beautiful backdrop of the Coast Mountains. Here you will find solitude and space to enjoy outdoor activities in the daytime and then relax on the porch or by the campfire in the evening after a hearty home-cooked dinner.

Days 10 & 11

Choose from a wide range of activities included in the price, such as canoeing and kayaking on the lake, mountain biking or hiking the trails around the ranch. And of course horse riding is also available, with daily riding tours for beginners to experts, lasting one to three hours, at an extra charge. Firstly you’ll be taught the secrets of western riding whilst in a round pen and a suitable horse will be selected for you, then you’ll be taken on the trail with an experienced wrangler to make sure you get the most from your wilderness experience.

Day 12
Terra Nostra Guest Ranch – 108 Mile Ranch (194 miles)
After a leisurely morning return along Highway 20 and then back down Highway 97, arriving at the Spruce Hill Resort for mid afternoon. Stretch your legs with a walk along one of the trails and then either relax in one of the hot tubs or in the spa.

Day 13
108 Mile Ranch - Whistler (199 miles)
You might want an early start today as you’ll be heading into a different British Columbia landscape – the mountains – and the much-loved mountain resort Whistler. The pedestrian-only, well-designed village offers a plethora of restaurants, bars and shops and has an abundance of outdoor activities to enjoy.

Day 14
Whistler
Enjoy a day in the mountains, and why not let us book some activities for you, so that you make the most of your time here. You could go on a Bear Viewing Tour to see the famous black bears of Whistler. Or immerse yourself in the forest on a Treetrek Canopy Walk. Or how about a guided canoe trip – get close to nature as you paddle along the River of Golden Dreams.

Day 15
Whistler – Vancouver Airport (75 miles)
It’s time for your exploration of British Columbia to end. Leave Whistler behind and drive west to Vancouver airport for your flight home.
