In summer, Field offers great hiking and camping opportunities with the summit of the nearby mountain peak being a popular hike. In winter, Field regularly sees heavy snowfall and is a popular destination sitting between the resorts of Lake Louise and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Field sits in the beautiful Yoho National Park, a popular alpine destination known for its excellent climbing, white water rafting, mountain biking and spectacular scenery. In summer, the whole area comes alive. The Burgess Shale Fossil Beds are famous for their detailed and delicate finds and guided hikes. Wildlife is abundant in Yoho and there are a number of hikes and guided walks that include opportunities to view; black bears, grizzly bears, moose, elk and more.
