A beautiful resort offering fun activities all year round.

Though Sun Peaks is known as a ski resort, this beautiful destination is worth seeing at any time of the year. Located just 45 minutes north of Kamloops, you’ll be taken aback by the sheer beauty of this place. In the winter months, towering trees and rolling hills are shrouded in pristine white snow, whilst the summer months cover the mountains in Alpine blossom that bursts with colour.

There’s truly nothing better than exploring the 18 hiking trails that wind their way through the mountains - whether you fancy a laidback stroll or an exciting full-on hike near the summit, there’s always somewhere new to discover.

Of course, there’s the ski slopes in the winter – second only to Whistler in terms of size, Sun Peaks is an ever-popular location for those seeking wintery villages, steep slopes and cheese fondue. When the snow melts away and the colourful flora emerges, Sun Peaks offers a plethora of sun-soaked activities, including canoeing in McGillivray Lake, mountain biking, and practicing your swing at the 18-hole Graham Cooke golf course – a beautiful course located along the valley floor.

Pop into the village and you’ll be met with charming people, fun outdoor music concerts, and a wide array of amazing arts and crafts. There’s a lovely homely feel to this village, filled with creative people living a chilled lifestyle in the mountains. The restaurants and cafes here are great too – after a long hike or afternoon of skiing we’d recommend heading to The Sunburst Bar + Eatery for a delicious bite to eat and stunning views from the outdoor deck.

This welcoming resort prides itself on its family-friendly activities too, making it one of the best places for kids to get back to nature and enjoy days filled with outdoor recreation. Take them on a family bike ride, have fun on the bungee trampoline, camp with other children, or enjoy a scenic horse ride – the world is your oyster at Sun Peaks.
