Day 1

Arrival in Toronto

After arriving into Pearson International Airport, make your individual transfer to the hotel. Check in with your Tour Director before enjoying the remainder of the day to explore at leisure.

Day 2

Toronto

Meet with your travel companions in the morning before exploring Toronto on a morning city tour, where you’ll experience the sights and sounds of this vibrant city. The tour will take you on a journey through the downtown and residential areas, as well as through many of the highlights such as Eaton Centre, old and new City Halls, Casa Loma, Yorkville and the University of Toronto. You’ll pass by the Rogers Centre (which was formerly the SkyDome) and the CN Tower, before driving along the harbourfront for a beautiful view of the city. Enjoy the remainder of the day to explore on your own.

Day 3

Toronto to Montreal (342 miles)

Today sees you depart Toronto early for a pleasant drive east, following the north shore of Lake Ontario. This journey passes endless stretches of rolling farmland and your first destination is the beautiful Thousand Islands resort region where you’ll embark upon a relaxing and picturesque cruise. Afterwards you will re-board the tour coach to continue to Montreal.

Day 4

Montreal

In the morning, you’ll tour the second-largest French-speaking city in the world – Montreal. A bustling and vibrant city, this location combines two of the founding cultures of Canada which creates a unique blend of history and modernity. Your tour will take you to the downtown area of the city where you can view the Olympic Complex, Old Montreal, McGill University, Mount Royal and some of the busy shopping streets. The afternoon is at leisure – in the evening, perhaps embark on an optional dining excursion to experience Montreal by night, with a scenic trip to one of the city’s most popular Greek restaurants.

Day 5

Montreal to Quebec City (156 miles)

Today sees you prepare to depart from Montreal in the morning to follow the route of Canada’s first carriageway – the Chemin du Roy – into French Canada. Pass typical French-Canadian villages and towns and immerse yourself in the classic French culture before arriving in Quebec City. Tour the sights of Quebec City within the walls of the old city for views of the Citadel, Battlefields Park, the Lower Town and the beautiful city gates.

Day 6

Quebec City

Today is yours to spend at leisure, to enable you to gain a better understanding of the culture and sights available in this picturesque World Heritage Site. You can enjoy an optional full day excursion to Tadoussac, which includes a three-hour whale-watching tour on the St. Lawrence River at the mouth of the Saguenay River. You’ll also visit the striking Montmorency Falls which are 30-metres higher than the renowned Niagara Falls.

Day 7

Quebec City to Ottawa (286 miles)

This morning, follow the St. Lawrence River west, passing Montreal and crossing into Ontario on your way to Ottawa, Canada’s capital. Stop for lunch at Sucrerie de la Montagne, an authentic sugar shack and pioneer-style restaurant. Upon arriving in Ottawa, enjoy a brief tour of the city. The rest of the day is yours to explore at your leisure.

Day 8

Ottawa

In the morning, embark on a city tour of Ottawa, taking in the Parliament Buildings, the residences of the Prime Minister and the Governor General, and the UNESCO-designated Rideau Canal, among other highlights. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore Ottawa’s many museums and galleries, shop at Sparks Street Mall, or enjoy a boat cruise on the city’s picturesque waterways.

Day 9

Ottawa to Huntsville (212 miles)

As you journey west from Ottawa, you'll pass sparkling lakes, rushing streams, deep forests, and typical northern towns. A highlight of the trip will be your visit to Algonquin Provincial Park, stroll along scenic trails. This vast wildlife preserve is a popular summer camping destination, and your walk will let you experience its natural beauty firsthand. Continue on to the Muskoka resort region where you will overnight.

Day 10

Huntsville to Niagara Falls (156 miles)

Drive south past Toronto and through the orchards and vineyards of the Niagara Peninsula, heading toward Niagara Falls. An exhilarating boat ride on the Hornblower Niagara Cruises—Voyage to the Falls—takes you right to the foot of the thundering waterfalls for an unforgettable experience. Next, ascend the Skylon Tower for a spectacular view of the falls and the surrounding area. You’ll also have the option to take a breathtaking helicopter tour or ride the Niagara Skywheel for stunning views of the region. The evening is yours to explore at leisure

Day 11

Niagara Falls to Toronto (118 miles)

This morning you will leave Niagara Falls and drive along the scenic Niagara Parkway and through the historic village of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Here you’ll witness a small but thriving community, displaying a beautifully-preserved 19th century ambiance. In the afternoon, head back to Toronto and enjoy a farewell dinner at the CN Tower.

Day 12

End of tour

Make some time for a bit of last minute shopping before saying your goodbyes to Canada and making your individual transfer to Pearson International Airport in time for your return flight.
